Cancel warranty

OK, my car is in the shop right now getting the trannty rebuilt, Of course since the car was lowered the inspector voided my warranty. After that honda called me and gave me the bad news. They also said that i could call my warranty company(UPS,united protection services) and get a refund for my warranty. I only have 15k left on my warranty. Cant call them yet because my warranty info is in my car at the shop. Just curious if any body else did this if it worked. Or is honda just BSin,Oh yea they want $1,472 to fix it.

wow. That's unfortunate. I've never had that problem with my dealership at all and I've probably had more warranty work done than anyone else on this site. My car was modified each time I went in as well.

Hope it works out.

The reason they voided it was because the lowering of the car messed up the angles of my axles, which they said was the reason for my tranny going bad. Honda was cool about the whole thing, it was my warranty company that screwed me.

That's BS. Sorry, but lowering your car will NOT cause damage to your tranny. In fact, it can't. The only way I could see the suspension system causing problems with the drivetrain is if you drove on a 4" drop with blown shocks on uneven pavement for a loooong time.

The point is that Honda - and most other car companies - will try to void your warranty any way they can. Aftermarket exhaust? well, that's causing your johnson rods to overheat, which is why you're front struts are blown. lol.

that sound like bs being that the front is independent suspension and the back doesnt affect your trann anyways. talk to mechanic from an outside speed shop and get their honest advice, if you smell something fishy talk to attorney general and file a complaint with bbb. sema has worked very hard to stop these practices, and from what i known if they cant prove it was you modification that ruined it, they are responsible.
