2nd gear clicks
aight whenever i am in 2nd gear and i make a right hand turn i get a slight clicking noise from the front right wheel well? if i make the turn in 1st no prb....3rd.....no prob.....just 2nd. Any idea what this could be?
mods i have done to the front include a sri (aem), and a neuspeed strut bar.
Any help would be appreciated.

it could be one of two possible things. if you have an '01 then its probably due to a part in your tranny. there is a TSB on this so check it out on the menu page of the 'Vehicle Issues and Problems.' or it could be your CV joint gone bad.

how hard is it to replace a cv joint?......i think i fixed it but it (moved my intake, cause i think it was hitting something) but still doesnt make sense that it would only do it in 2nd gear?

it appears taht i am not the only one that is having this problem....i searched using some different terms than what i have been using and found some other people having the same problem....infact there was this post
"Hey guys,.... try this, if when you turn right your 2nd gear is still engaged and the noise appears, it's a fact, your planetary gear is shot. Many people might confuse this noise with the similar cv joint noise. Try to turn right when your in neutral( no gears engaged ) if the noise isn't there then hav honda check your transmission for a possible wear in your right planetary gear.
GOOD LUCK."
now my question is, is this piece a warrenty covered piece? and should i remove any after market parts b4 i go in?

um.. i think it should be covered in the warranty. its on the TSB so they should replace it. if you still have your factory warranty then most likely they'll replace it. as for taking off your factory stuff, thats up to you. some dealers are asses about fixing warranty stuff with aftermarket parts on. if you have a short shifter, i'd probably take that off for sure.
Mine doesnt really make noises, but it pops out of 2nd sometimes. It seems like when the engine is cold it will pop out or wont go into 2nd. Sometimes it'll grind when i put it into second, and then if its in 2nd and i take my foot off the accelerator it pops out. Any ideas on what that may be?
