tyc problems >>>help

ok i installed my tyc projectors today and i was driving and the lows went out.
i am currently running eurodesigns 100w bulbs. which is what i was using when i had my matrix halo projectors. i never had one problem with the bulb at all. i was wondering if ne one might have had the same problem? or if someone might have an idea of what might be wrong!!!!! please i cant drive my car like this. plus i share it with my wife she will kill me if she finds out that there is yet another problem. oh and i checked the fuse to make shure.
they both went out at the same time it was weird.

civic02ex is an unknown quantity at this point
Unfortunately, I can't help you. Im about to install my TYC lights so that forum you gave helped me out. However, I work in a electronic shop for the government and I must say that the light bulb harnesses themselves should already be wired to ground, power, and switch. Im not getting a picture of running an extra wire to the projectors without it looking "messy." But if you were to run the ground wire, do not run it to no freakin negative terminal. Thats just tearing up your whole clean engine bay look, but instead just drill a small terminal hooked to a self tapper screw somewhere hidden in the engine bay. Please keep me posted or pm if you have better luck with this. Thanks and sorry for not helping out much.

acidbaby: did u clean off ur bulbs with some isopropyl alcohol before plugging them in? oil from your hands might have been on the bulb causing them to heat up and burn out. or maybe when u were installing the bulbs you accidentally scratched the glass envelope when inserting the bulbs into the socket. also make sure u secure the rubber housing behind the socket to prevent water from entering the housing. i dont know what else to tell you... hope everything works out. Peace

hmmm ive noticed that u said 100w. the stock h4's were 55/60w. so shouldnt ur new h7's be 55w? too much strain on the factory harness possibly?
