Here's a good one. I was driving into my friends apt complex last week, cut the wheel, the front passenger side of my car dropped, and I slid into a curb shattering my wheel, breaking my lower control arm, snapping the ball joint, among other damages. I have the car towed to Honda only for them to tell me that I hit something. No $hit. I told them I hit the curb, it was rather obvious. I explained that I hit the curb because something on my car broke, and the car would not hold the turn. They pretty much told me to **** off. I have taken my car to honda about 4 times, each time paying a $70 diagnostic fee for them to tell me it's not their fault. They always blame aftermarket parts or some other reason, but will never take responsibility. It seems like if you add an air freshener to your car, you voided some warranty. Now I am stuck with a $1300 bill, on top of needing a new rim and tire. The best part is I had my car towed there because it was not safe to drive, and did not want to cause further damage. When I show up to check on my car, some little a$$hole is flying through the parking lot in my car. When I asked the service manager if this was comon practice, he told me that he wasn't speeding, just moving the car. So now basically they are telling me I am lying and don't know what I saw. FU<K Honda Service.
Wait, so you were driving normally, and something on your car snapped which caused you to hit the curb? (What's "cut the wheel" ?)
Yeah, that's gonna be pretty hard for you to prove some failure happened before the hit ... too easy for them to just say that all damage was caused when you hit the curb. Not sure what you can do to get them to fix it under warranty.
As for them taking joyrides, keep proof of your mileage ... take a pic of your odometer or something.

this can go one of two ways... i noticed you have springs on your car, the cotter pin and bolt that hold the control arm to the a-arm could have broken off due to...yes, aftermarket parts. second, the problem could truelly be honda's deal, and if that is the case, you need to prove that it is their fault. as for the little **** speeding off in your car, taking pics will help, but also video recording can also help. then if all else fails, pull a tonya harding...club the guy's knee so he cant drive. =)
is your car lowered or any sort of suspension? cause if thats the case youre really gonna have to fight cause they'll blame that without a doubt. but try a different honda dealer if thats a possibility. And also, always take a picture or some other proof of the odometer. My dad brought his acura TL in for servicing and the bums actually took his car with them when they went to lunch. How did he know? My mom was at the same place as them for lunch. morons.
Or if you wanna catch the lot monkeys, install Smart Driver
That's messed up. I have alot of aftermarket parts on mine. I asked my dealership about all of the upgrades before I performed them and they said it would not void my warranty, but they did say to bring it only to them for warranty work because other dealerships might not accept it.
How fast were you going into the apt complex? Can you see what may have caused the car to go down in the front? Since you have aftermarket springs, that voids your whole suspension warrenty. Unless there is a tsb you can find, I doubt honda will do anything free.
