i gas'ed up my tank lik 1-2 day(s) ago. I remember poppin my hood in the morning, didnt touch anything . Afternoon the "check" light appeared.. so i got all scared n **** what tf??
i remember feelin a tremble from my car when i was braking..

after 2hrs i decided to drive over to the dealer..
everythign went normal (wit the car)
i drove int he service garage that said its a bit late to have it check now
they asked me when was ur last time u did a service
he said u' prolly need a service
i asked what kind? he said he doesn kno yet./.

did the check light appear on u??
shud i bring my car to the dealer again 2m? i kno they gonna charge me a lot!!!

btw the light is gone after i out of the honda dealer place
its been on for 4-5hrs


i also dropped my car lik 3weeks ago (wit springs.. duno if that ffect the car or not?)

i read the driver's booklet
it says if the check sign disappear after 3 road trip then its ok?

is that tru that i dunt have to go back 2 dealer then?

well, the same thing happend to me, but that was when I hit 10k miles. Maybe this is your situation. It's just Honda's way of getting you into the dealership for a check up (IE spend your money). If your are not at the 10k mark, then something is wrong? PS fluid? Radiator Fluid? Oil? Any of these things can cause this to happen....?

Those lights come on at certain mileage intervals. Your car is probably just fine. Honda does it so they can make more money off you. It's just a scheme of theirs.

isn't there a way to turn it off w/o going to dealer? can someone tell me how to do it?

CEL and MIL are different. MIL is for reminding you that your car should be brought in for maintenance. The CEL is if there is a problem, like a loose gas cap.

just checking, when the light comes out, does your car jerk?
my 'check engine' light went bonkers on two occassions, and in both occassions, the car will start to jerk first, before the light comes on. in the first occassion, the problem disappeared when i refilled.

however, on the 2nd occassion, the jerking and light refuse to go away. i went back to my local dealer, and they diagnosed the problem as a faulty EGR. I had it replaced, and the check engine light disappeared, but the car is still not as smooth as before, during acceleration.

If its running fine, then I wouldnt take it in. I would however be curious what code got stored.. maybe see if youcan find someone with a code scanner and pull the code from the computer.
