Unhappy Need help with removing trunk emblems

I want to remove my civic and ex emblems from my rear, but i was wondering what to use to get off the adhesive that is left behind from the emblems, the DIY says to use goof off, but i went to the store and it says it damages automobile surfaces, so i am kinda so so on using that. Is there anything better that wont strip the paint and clear coat but effectively take off the adhesive, or is goof off the best product. If you have done the mod to your car please tell me what you used to take off the adhesive, and where to get it.

Weaponx12o is on a distinguished road
i used wd40, just spray a little bit (dont soak the area or else you might harm the paint). after that i just used my thumb to rub the adhesive off. came off pretty easily and didnt smear. after that i cleaned and waxed the area that had wd40 on it.

goo off or goo gone. Then lightly wax it.

jedi is an unknown quantity at this point
Lighter Fluid !!
Realy , I use it on my 3K Guild guitar , so it shouldn`t hurt the paint.
You could try a "test" section like under the hood or trunk.
Good luck !!
