damaged bumper support on 03 and dealer won't do anything

I have a 2003 civic that I just bought in April only 5500 miles and I am having a bodykit put on and when they had it apart they noticed that the front bumper support had been damaged and was buckled in. They suggested that it may have been like that from loading and unloading it from the trucks or that the damaged happened at the dealership. I went to see it and indeed it was buckled. The bodyshop also thought that it looked like the front bumper may have been repainted, althought it had no damage. I had never been in any accidents so I called the dealership where I bought it. The sales manager was a jerk and wanted me to drive an hour away without bumpers to show it to him that same day or he wouldn't do anything for me. I chose not to waste my time because it's illegal to drive without bumpers and also because it didn't sound like he wuold do anything anyways. Does anyone have any input? Maybe American Honda would do something.

If your dealership is giving you such a hard time, why don't you try another.

Are you talking about the brackets under the headlight? They're $18.75 each. Just buy one and save the headache... trust me, it's worth it.

I need to correct myself, it was the front bumper reinforcement that was damaged.

How far is Elmhurst from Aroura? Because if it is at all possible, take it to Valley Honda, they are always very nice about that kinda stuff.
