Honda = Sheeit
I recently purchased a Brand New 2002 EX Nighthawk Black Civic Sedan from a local dealership and I have to say Iam not impressed...
The overall quality of the Canadian built car was unimpressive from the get go and I could tell driving away from the Honda dealership that my car would have many more joyful trips back to its home...
First off I would just like to vent about my windows. Horrible. 2 Week after I purchased the car I was back at the dealership trying to get the cocky, slacker driven, "technicians" to notice the god awful crunching noise coming from my driveside front window as it rolled down. Eventually with lots of coaching I was able to bring it to the dealerships attention at which point they ordered new parts and seemingly fixed the problem, while at the same time creating new ones.
These problem again deal with the god damn driveside window. However now instead of a crunching noises I have to wait 20 mins for the window to roll up, and roll down. Also whatever they "fixed" last time offset the glass so it sticks out about half and inch even when the window is down all the way. The dealership has looked at these problem 3 times, yes 3, and their simple solution every time was to spray some wd40 type liquid on the running tracks, and tell me "I should learn how to wash my car better.." Right. However this simple fix for me is not cutting it anymore. My window is full of gunk, from overuse of their quick-fix spray, and rolls down now at an even more obviously slower pace then when I first brought it in. My fourth visit to the dealership happened last week. Finally feed up I made it known I would not be accepting a quick-fix and a lesson in car care as a solution to the problem. The dealership knowing this decided to order a new running track and a new motor for the driveside window. Hopefully this will correct the problem and I can finally get my windows tinted.
But thats not all folks! Yesterday as I was leaving my driveway my front left wheel started to scream bloody murder almost like someone was grinding a steal pipe onto the asphalt. It was a shrill shriek that lasted as i drove down the street. I was like WTF! Slammed on the brakes got out of the car and looked to make sure i was not dragging anything or that anything was caught under my bumper by the front left tire... of course nothing. So I got back into the car and drove more.. silence.. even further down the street and again nothing but silence.. Deciding I should cancel the trip to walmart and head home to give Honda a call I popped the car in reverse and started to back down the street.. SSSSSCCCCCCCRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR RRRRRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!
All the way back home, none freaking stop screaming from the front left tire! I was like HOLY ****!! Sounded as if my disc brake was being grinded into dust, however I was not pressing the break pedal??? Just driving in reverse....??
So anyways I called Honda and made an appointment to have the car looked at, and the window fixed on Thursday (tomorrow). Funny thing is when I called the guy he was like "and how many miles does your car have on it?"
"oh 10k"
"what?"
"ten thousandddd."
"oh um okay cya thrusday..."
Almost as if he was expecting me to say oh 45k because all the ****ing problems with my car should not be happening at such a young age... **** for Honda they should not be happening at all!
So yah, Honda -- nope never again....
Thats it... Just wanted to share?!

Sounds like if they had fixed the window the first time, as they should have, you wouldn't be nearly as angry. I have no idea what is wrong with your wheel.
You may want to consider trying a different dealership. I have been to several hondas and have never really had a problem.

I thought that the US DX and LX Sedans were being made in Canada, with the EX Sedans (US market only) made in the US. Maybe the addition of the Element and the new gen Accord has caused Honda to transfer all of the Sedan production to Canada.
