Ok so let me get out in front of this ordeal by admitting i'm an idiot and put a battery in backwards err about 20-30k miles ago.. yeah it blew the main fuse so i was lucky to get off with a 20$ fix after not having my precious car in which i originally own and have paid off and have also put through absolute hell but hey it's a high school kids car and i'm a 37 year old broke record producer still driving it so lets move on:

I first noticed the lights were getting somewhat dim here and there and it had gotten to a point of where i had to jump the car every single time in order to get it to run and i was using good ol geoffry bezos jump starter that he i'm sure designed himself in a garage somewhere next to lauren sanchez.

moving forward...

My father and i had a mechanic come over he replaced the alternator... and then it still wasn't starting so he replaced the starter(yeah he ripped us the bleep off and handled this entire situation incorrectly because a good mechanic would have known this is a short somewhere and went through it rather than just replacing crap and going down this rabbit hole of expenses but you know... it is what it is.

So after all of that the guy takes off and the car still will not turn on.. and i call him and he's like "well you gotta let it run for 30-40 minutes" so i said ok... i was going to have a neighbor jump me but i guess when you put the car into Neutral and roll it back it gives it some juice or maybe i'm just lucky or dumb and ignorant and have no idea what i am talking about(but hey i've had evos and mr2s and bmws(complete nightmare 328) blah blah blah

the car turns on, i take it to an autozone in a questionable neighborhood with some questionable people outside of the place... go in and return my starter core which i regret because the things a cool Japanese original starter and prob worth more sentimental value on my shelf in my music studio but i digress.... so i go out car won't turn on again, i pull the battery(same one i put in backwards) and they said in autozone it was probable dead from jumping it too much so i replace it with a r31e 410 and it fires right up... i drive the car around and it's ok for a bit but again last night it would not turn on, had to push it into my garage and have someone from the city help me jump it, then i took it to LA today and it stranded me again at my friends house and it was just clicking clicking clicking... and the fuse box actually started smoking... jumped it again with a v8 huge truck my buddy had and now it's home and it's holding a freaking charge at 12.51ish on the battery so like.. what the hell is going on with this thing? is it a ground issue/wiring? if someone can lead me in the right direction that would be fantastic thanks and hope you enjoyed my novel of stupidity.

What does the battery voltage read when the engine is running? Looking for ~14V. Are the battery connections in good shape?

Ok update,

Jumped in the car last night and fired right up. As soon as i put it in drive it died instantly...

disconnected the battery checked voltage 12.4ish and plugged it back in. Car turned on right away

Drove it a good 60 miles and when trying to do simple reverse 3 point turns in such it would almost want to die to the point of where i have to rev it and keep the car under load so the lights would stop dimming and not kill off. Again, when i flick the lights on the car does not like it. The car just seems like something is drawing power/voltage incorrectly but i'm about to go down and see if it starts.

In regards to your question the battery is around 13.5 and alternator is 14.5 so should loose 1 volt between the two from what i understand.

The connectors are NOT in good condition at all and could very well be replaced which i will try to do today.

Yes, do that. I hope that not-needed alternator replacement is a quality part, otherwise it could cause issues in the near future.
