Can you post some pics? I don't understand what you mean.
That pressure switch should have one wire going to it. The sensor itself is grounded through the block. When oil pressure is low the switch closes applying that ground to your yellow/red wire. Are you saying you have the wire on the sensor side but don't know where it goes on the harness side?
I actually need help really bad, I have a 2011 civic 1.8, the wire harness for the alternator was ripped out, I have a new one but have no idea which wires go to which pin
Ok so I have a 2011 Honda Civic 1.8.. the car was given to me by my girlfriends aunt which she got mad a ripped a bunch of wires out so her daughter couldn’t use it… well she ripped the 4 wire harness out from the alternator, I ordered a new one from eBay and none of the colors are the same and I cannot find anything that can help me match these wires up to the new harness. I basically need to see someone’s harness on their car to match up to make sure these are correct
a diagram was sent yes , which I followed, old alternator was shot, I put a remanufactured one in and now it’s getting extremely hot
Hey hello did you get to the bottom of this ? A garage changed out my alternator on my 2007 and the one they put in was getting so hot it was melting the paint of the alternator body, then it starter over charging. They then again put another in same brand Lucas I think but it started getting hot and over charging once again.
I am waiting for a Bosch version to arrive today to see if it fixes the problem, in an preempt start to problem solving wanted to see if you got to the bottom of your issue ?
