Lead-Acid, same as most others.
The battery from a honda dealer is made by Interstate, you can buy the same battery with a different label at many retailers and parts stores.
Hondas battery warranty might be a selling point, but if you understand pro-rating and you can diagnose and replace your own battery, I personally don't see much advantage after it's a few years old
