ABS sensor replacements won't work
ABS sensor replacements won't work
Have a 2011 with probably 150k miles. Mechanics broke an ABS sensor while replacing a bearing. ABS light came on. They ordered the sensor, replaced it and claimed it was defective. Ordered another one, still didn't work. Eventually said that OEM parts were not working even though the car has a US VIN. Tried a JPM sensor and it worked on the test drive and about 20 minutes after we left the shop. Now it's making a horrible constant grinding sound on the same wheel where the bearing and sensor were replaced. Obviously the ABS is malfunctioning but replacing the broken sensor hasn't helped. Strangely, the ABS light isn't on and it isn't throwing any codes. I should mention that the brakes are brand new and there were never any issues with the ABS prior to this. They have been working on this problem for 3 weeks and are out of ideas. They have done all of this for free since they broke the sensor initially. Any ideas?
