2010 LX-S 130 k miles. Mystery shimmy when slowing [solved]

When cruising on highway ( 65mph) there is an ever so slight shimmy in steering wheel. If the cruise control backs off due to a slight downward slope in the road the shimmy iincrease and reduces as gas is given to "continue". This can be duplicated without the cruise control. So backing off the gas at cruise the shimmy increases, even on level roads. The brakes do not pulse. Braking is smooth all the way down to stopping. There are no clunks or noises from the front suspension.Alignment is good Tires are wearing fine. I will be doing a balance and rotation in the next few days to see if this reduces the shimmy. Till then any thoughts?

Just curious, do you have a mad vibration when in reverse, too?

8thgens are notorious for having weird issues like that, and they mostly stem from the passenger side motor mount (either gel filled or the "dogbone" mount) being worn out. My friend's 08 had similar issues. Picked up a new gel filled mount and dogbone mount and all those problems went away. Do an inspection on both mounts before firing the parts cannon at it

xRiCeBoYx, Thank you for your reply. I did check the mounts and they seem ok. I did not do reverse. The problem was at high speeds. I had the tires balanced today and of the four tires one was really out of balance and the shimmy issue that I was experiencing is now gone after the balance.
