Fuel trims on acceleration and fuel pressure test adapter
Fuel trims on acceleration and fuel pressure test adapter
I'm looking at a friend's 2014 Civic EX. He complained of poor acceleration. When looking at fuel trims, I noticed that long and short were near zero at idle, pretty much eliminating a vacuum leak, but they jumped to like 40% under acceleration. That led me to think low fuel pressure / flow.
This car does not have a fuel rail pressure sensor, and hooking up a fuel pressure gauge is not straightforward since the only connection to tee into is the quick connect at the rail.
So my questions are:
1. does my interpretation of the fuel trims sound correct?
2. does anyone know of an available tee adapter that I can hook up between the line and the rail to test fuel pressure?
