Cause of this mysterious white stuff?
Cause of this mysterious white stuff?
Good day fellow comrades
Got the old 2013 civic LX 1.8 liter manual going strong.
Recently saw some white thick stuff under the oil cap. Thought "Oh sheeeeeiiit I got a blown head gasket".
But here's the skinny. Coolant level has maintained at above full. No decrease in coolant level at all. No white smoke. No hard starts. No burning of oil. No overheating.
Living in here in the arctic, we had a cold spell that went down to minus 60 degree celsius --- which is minus 76 Fahrenheit for those not in the know.
I thought maybe that's just condensation? given the temperature extremes. Because the next week we warmed up to like minus 10 celsius. Thoughts?
