Seeing Coolant Level [solved]
Seeing Coolant Level [solved]
I just bought a 2015 Civic LX. I cannot clearly see where the coolant level is in the expansion tank. First, it's difficult to look down in there, but I cannot see the max and min marks or where the coolant is. The tank is clean on the outside. Am I just blind? Any better way to see it but open the hood and look down? I don't much want to take the splash guard off.

re: Seeing Coolant Level [solved]
Unfortunately, that's the only way. The overflow tank in my 2002 civic's was just about as bad as the 2015 (judging from pics and videos I'm seeing online).
What I did to see coolant level was popping the overflow tank's cap off and shining a flashlight down the open top, then looking at the outside of the tank for level.
