Hi everyone. Looking for some help. I have an 09 Civic. Started awhile ago with replace fuel cap on and off in dash. Replaced fuel cap and message stopped. Couple months later cel kept coming on and off. Scanned car and had code P0497. Replaced purge valve solenoid Code went away. Recently cel back on with new code P0496. My old Mac reader shows some data. Evap VP H2O reads .373 all the time, idle or on throttle. Is there something stuck closed? I connected to my 2018 Civic and this reading constantly changes. What brand are the parts you replaced?

The fuel cap was Honda part. Purge valve was not Honda part. Dormin I think was the name of manufacturer.

That's probably the issue, the cars are picky and don't like aftermarket electronics
