I have a 2010 Honda civic LX with oil leaking under transmission. There is nothing visible under the hood except when you take the air box out there is dry oil on a part by the firewall at the bottom.
Any ideas? I dont want to take the air box out but I will if I have to.
oil filter is under the intake manifold on the 8th gen?
common to see is two oil seals in the oil filter if an old one does not get removed with the old filter

please clarify. So the oil is leaking there because the oil seal wasnt removed with the oil filter? This is where the transmission is the oil filter is on the other side....
sorry, late night.
the oil filter was a guess - just mentioning that sometimes people don't check if the old seal is still there and mount the filter with 2 seals by accident
not sure what is above on your engine

Re: Oil Leak Honda Civic LX
Rear main maybe?
You need to dig deeper. Clean the engine top and bottom and then take it for a drive. Get it home and then get the car up and start looking for the leak
