Hello,
I Am owning a Honda Civic 2008 Automatic transmission. The power steering feels a little bit tight and there a kind of bell sound in engine bay while steering.
sometimes while running the car , the car Automatically slows down the power steering gets stopped( steering gets too much tight ) I had to switch off the vehicle and start again to move the steering.

There's also oil leakage under my engine




Please can anyone give a diagnosis.

Is it low on power steering fluid? Steering pumps whine when low on fluid, or PS pump filter is clogged, or the PS pump is weak/failing. If the steering fluid hasn't been replaced in the past 30k miles or since you have owned it then that would be a good place to start. Use only Honda (service manual) approved steering fluid and consider an additional inline filter if it doesn't have one. The steering pump may have a filter but additional filtering helps limit debris.

However, make sure the power steering system doesn't have a leak before investing in new PS fluid. Clean the engine, tranny and power steering pump, lines and steering rack as best as possible to see if you can isolate the source of the leak.

Take it to a trusted mechanic for an estimate. Hard for us to provide a diagnosis online. Sounds like something that should be taken care of soon if it's not as simple as low PS fluid causing the issue.

thanks for reply, I have done top-up of PS fluid today, but still the sound persist and it feels tight. Hope you heard the engine noise.
