Filling up oil
Filling up oil
Hi,
First post here, hoping for some advice. My oil light has come on on my 8th gen 1.8 petrol civic. I'm wondering how much oil do I need to add if the line is at the bottom of the honeycomb etching on the dipstick please?
Thanks!

Re: Filling up oil
Been a lubrucation technician for nearly a decade.
All dipstick on all vehicles 1990+ are 1L/1qt for the fill zone.
If you see a red oil can you are critically low and should not operate the vehicle until topped up. All red lights mean stop operation, just like red traffic lights.
if you see a yellow service light, or notification about oil service an the dash, or a low oil percentage reading, this means you are due for an oil change.
