So I've had my car for a month now. Driven hundreds of miles and not a single scratch. I waxed last week nice and shiny with Meguiars Solid wax. After waxing, still not a scratch. This week, holy shiznitz. There are little white specs all over my hood. They look like little holes. I thought maybe some of the wax got left behind but they won't come off. I dont' know what happened. Anyone have any ideas?

I am having the same problem from driving all winter (road salt and sand) I would really like to know too b/c I think that the touch up paint should be a last resort it makes it look cheesy... a putty or something but anyone know who makes something like this?

Could you have come into contact with paint overspray in the past week.

I had the same happen to me. I was able to remove the spots with macguires clear coat prep/swirl reducer and then follow-up with wax

if they are "holes" as you say, try a rubbing compound then a real good wax (meguiars is great!). i used it on some scuffs marks and scratches when some *** wipe backed into me in a parking lot, worked pretty damn good. test it first on a non-noticable area, it worked on my front bumper but on the hood i would be careful, so much more noticable.
