Blending In Touch-Up Paint......

Hey everyone, I just touched up this bad spot right under my license plate that i used touch-up paint on after using acetone to remove superglue. The acetone unfortunately removed the clear coat around it and not the superglue. So I touched up with area, 1"x.5". It looks better than before, but the touch-up paint, like all, still pops out at you when you are a little closer to the car. Is there anyway that I can blend the edges of the area where I used touch up paint and the real paint job meet? Also is there anyway of making the touch-up paint area a little smoother? For some reason when I seem to use 3M rubbing compound (clear coat safe) on the area, It removes more paint from the area so im not going near that spot with it anymore.
