Stuff on the headlights

I was wiping down the headlights after all the snow and salt recently and besides noticing a whole lotta tiny chips there was all these specks that look like dust or lint but I couldnt wipe it away..looked like it was inside but I havent even opened up the housing yet.

I noticed that too...the only thing you can really use to clean the inside of the lens and stuff is a clean, soft dry towel....any other thing will scratch...
