HOW DO I TAKE PAINT OFF

HOW DO I TAKE PAINT OFF

i painted my trim peices like the diy...now i have a dash kit and i need to remove the paint on my air vents...how can i go about doing that??

Lacquer thinner works, but it also eats plastic. I would try lacquer thinner and a toothbrush. Otherwise I'de try using an airgun that shoots little particles and maybe try some small plastic particles to strip the paint off. You'de have to have this equipment though.

The only bad thing about using laquer thinner is that it can dull the finish on your vents...but that's a chance you take when you paint things.

A very, very fine sandpaper may work also, like a 400 grit or higher.

Maybe carb cleaner? To take off anodized colors off of alloy, EZ Oven-Off in the yellow can works well. Not sure if I'd try either of these on your air vents.. but if your daring enough [IMG]i/expressions/demon.gif[/IMG]

EDIT: maybe some brake fluid.. dunno. I dont recommend any of the above. BUT, if you try it let us know!

Yeah, I hear that brake fluid takes off paint. That might work.
