Door Edge Guards ruined paint!

Well, after six months I decided to remove those door edge guards on the side of each door. Most of the dirt wiped away, but on one door there is a really bad mark along the side that I can't get off. I got the glue out already, but the hazy stuff won't come out. I know it's hard to explain. The paint feels smooth, so I'm wondering if it got damaged when the dealer installed them a while back. What should I try to fix the paint with?

Thanks

If you think it's a sirface problem, try a clay bar, it more or less removes everything from teh paint.

That happened to my bro's car...he did the same thing and he is planning on getting the door repainted when he gets his body kit...plus, he has a lot of rust on the inside bottom of his door, so he has to get that taken care of...I think clay bar would be a safe and good bet....

Hey 2 hottie, I tried some of the meguiars "clear coat" cleaner and it worked pretty well. There are still some marks, but only if you look up close.

Try 3m finecut rubbing compound! If its just an adhesive it most likely bonded to your clearcoat, but it can be removed with a mild abrasive. Just work the compound in until it dissipates the haze. It should work, good luch
