Just Thought I'd Tell You..............

Hey everyone, went ahead and detailed my car yesterday. I have a Blue Civic and we all know how you can see every scratch in a car with dark paint. Instead of using meguiars to wash my car, I striped the wax off with some pamolive and then used meguiars scratch X to remove the scratches. It doesn't work as well unless you strip off the wax. I don't think everyone here knows and just uses it over the wax, but it is alot more affective after the wax is striped off your car.

civicdude will become famous soon enough
Search, this has been covered before. Next time you want to strip the wax, use a paint cleaner....Like the Clay bar or Mothers Cleaner. If you use Palmolive alot you are at risk of causing more scratches to occur, swirls, and also dulling the paint.
