removing plastic (bumper)

came out to my car a couple of days ago and there is a huge indentation. looks like someone backed into my side (around rear quarter panel to door). it wasn't straight on, more of a scrape. anyways, it looks like they had a plastic bumper because they left some of it on my car. it tried to scrape it with my fingernail but i couldn't get it off. any ideas for removing plastic rub??

Hey, you're still here. I though that you had disappeared from 7thgencivic.com forever? How is your ride doing?
Anyway, I would try a razor blade first. Then some sand paper. Then some rubbing compound. Then some polish. Then some wax. That should remove it. Unless it went into the paint somehow?

I would try rubbing compound, but make sure it is clearcoat safe.
