@#%& - Honda touch-up paint dont match the car?
I ended up with some scratches and 'peels' on my front bumper..
So I went to Honda dealer and bought a touch up paint, I told them I drive 2k2 Civic Eternal Blue Pearl, and he gave me a bottle with CHb96P label...
later I checked the paint code on my door, it said, B96P...
so B96P is same as CHB96P?
they dont seem to match, though...
does anyone sell this touch up paint in spray can form?
this is so frustrating... an excuse for a bodykit ? lol

As far as I know, the EBP color code inside the door jamb is correct, and if you want the exact match, you need to get the B96P. As for that other one, I am unsure of it, never heard of it. I don't even think they sell the stuff in a spraycan, thats what sucks for bodykits, need a body shop to do em!!!

could it be that the paint on ur car has been on for a while now in the sun and stuff. while the new paint ur puttin on is new and maybe not exactly the same. i have silver car and the touch pain is a bit darker than the original but its better than having black scraches on my car.

nah, my car is barely 2 weeks old... and the touch up paint is lighter than the paint on the body...
I called the dealer, and the guy said as long as the numer is the same, it's okay [96], which I think is a bulls***...
I'm going to get the whole bumper sanded down and painted anew... heh.
there goes the $$ for CAI...

what i did was i took the color code and went down to NAPA and gave it to them. they even put it in a SPRAY CAN for me!! i bought 4 cans to paint my body kit (octane front and sides) and it matched up well. no problems here. the paint is still good, not chipping or n e thing. had it for almost 4months and its going as planned.

Falken is right. You go to paintshop, they'd tell you, don't even bother with those touch-up paints, worthless. Look more tacky afterwards than before you touched up.
