Rep Power: 0 Ran into my railing...
aight so long story but I backed into my railing in order to avoid being crushed by a speeding suburban. the back bumper has no actual dent but theres the paint from the railing on it, if that makes sense? the paint from the railing rubbed off onto it....what would be the best way to go about removing this? thanks in advance

Rep Power: 372 Try a Clear coat Polishing or Rubbing Compound. I would recommend using 3M Rubbing compound and a clean soft terry towel. Rub it in good using a back and forth motion, and the after you remove all of the rubbed paint, Go over the spot with glaze, I recommend either 3M hand glaze or Meguires #26 glaze. This will make the paint glossy again. The final step is to apply a coat of carnuba wax.

Rep Power: 372 Nail Polish remover isnt really good for the paint. That will dull the paint and probably scratch the clear coat.

Rep Power: 0 well I would say try some cleaners and if all else fails and you have experiance with wet sanding go that route but make sure you have the right sand paper and a buffer cause it will have to be buffed back to a shine.
