vinegar on paint?

hey my car got hit by the sprinklers yesterday at work and it gave me hard water spots all over my car...i washed it, waxed, tried some mcguires quick detail spray, but nothing worked...i've heard that vinegar and water is supposed to work, but will that damage the paint? does anyone know?

When my mom used to work at the paper mills they would have to wash their car with vinegar to keep the car paint from fading so she never had a issue with it.

Try using the clay bar. This will remove those hard water spots.

Try using the clay bar first or try to contact a local paint shop maybe they could help you.

I agree a clay and a cleaner wax not just wax because you may need something a LITTLE more coarse

Vinegar is technically an acid (although weak compared to real acid). However, that probably means it isn't good for your car.
