Is regular dish washing soap clear coat safe?

Can someone tell me if regular dish washing soap, like Dove, clear coat safe or not?
Because I need to take off my old wax, and then reapply a new coat. Thx
If its not clear coat safe, what should I use instead?

There is no need to remove your wax, unless you are planning to clean the paint before you rewax. By cleaning the paint I mean claying the paint of polishing the paint. If you are just planning to put another coat of wax on the car then you can just re wax it. I wouldnt use the palmolive all the time, maybe once or twice a year. All other times use a soap that is made for the car.

Humm I would never use anything but car soap but if you wanna destroy the wax and paint possibly go ahead and work on the dishes afterwards . Just my thoughts

No, Don't use dish soap!!! After time it will destroy luster not to mention the paint it will destroy eventually!!! Go get yourself a really good car wash product that is actually made for washing cars and read the label. We just spend too much time and money in our cars not to use a good car wash product!!! You know?

It's ok to use dish soap if you are stripping old wax off to apply a diffrent product but I would wash the car once more with regular car wash soap. Using dish soap may also dry out all your rubber surroundings and seals since it will strip the natural oils in them. The buttom line is never use dish soap unless you are going to apply a diffrent product.
