more armor all wipes
i cheked out the other post on armor all wipes but no one mentioned if they used the cleaning wipes, the protectant wipes, or both. i'm curious. i've just been using a damp cloth to clean my dash and stuff. i've heard bad things in the past that armor all will eventually dry out and crack your dash or something. is that true? are both the cleaner and the protectant wipes good?

I got the package w/ all three cleaner, protectant, and window wips. I haven't used the cleaning ones yet, I just stick to my california car duster and have had no problems. As far as drying out, I don't think they do that, they are supposed to act similar to ordinary armoral and make a shiny appearance, getting rid of dirt and grime. I think that if you use them and then don't use them for a while it might look like the dash has been dried out cause you won't have that real shiny appearance anymore. I wouldn't worry about the dash drying out though.

I wonder if these armor all wipes don't shine as much as the armorall spray stuff... coz the spray stuff makes my dash way, way, way too shiny... I'm not really looking forward to using it again.

There are so many better products on the market than Armorall, I recommend using anything but Armorall. Armorall is too shiny, so you get a nice glare from the sun. Armorall is water soluble so applying it to the tires or outside trim will become a mess if it rains or when you wash the car. Armorall is known to dry out and crack plastics and interior panels. I have seen a few other products on the market that come in wipes now...I think eagle one and Meguires make them now. I would use their products over Armorall any time.
