Rep Power: 0 Yeah.. that Meguiars 3-step is sweet. I use it about every 3 months, and use the Meguiars Gold every other week, since it is only a one step application and doesn't take so long.

Rep Power: 352 << how did you guys do it? I was thinking 1 coat cleaner, 2 coats polish, and 1 maybe 2 coats gold class wax. Thanks! >>
Since it was my first time, I just followed the intstructions, and did each one once. THe cleaner, the polish, and then the wax.

Rep Power: 0 I used the 3 step over the weekend...Only stuff I've been using for the past 5 years...I luv it...
I just make sure to do 1 good coats of each...Then I go back and use meguire's cleaner/wax in the doors and cracks where it just saves time...

Rep Power: 0 Yea, I know what you mean. I use the meguiars 3 step and my car looks great after, but I usually can't feel my arms afterward. Usually take me 5 hours to do the 3 step and the interior, but it is worth it!

Rep Power: 0 I am now a 3 Step member too Spent a couple hours on Sun for the wash and Step 1..but started on it a little too late and it was 8:30pm when I was done so I couldnt see anything anymore. Spent another couple hours last night for Step 2+3. Now its smooooooth.
Do you guys recommend the 3 step every time I wash (like every couple weeks or so now that weather is getting better) or a wash and wax and the 3 step every couple months?

Rep Power: 0 ive done the 3 step many times, but only once on the civic. I'd say once every 6 months should be good to do the 3 step, and just throw a coat of wax on every 3 months, or more often, depending on how much you wash your vehicle. I also recommend using the meguairs gold class wax for step 3 instead of the deep crystal system wax.

Rep Power: 0 ya the 3 step is a real nice process. I've done that I wax about 1 every month to protect my car cause it sits outside all the time on the driveway. Wash it every week, then wax it once a month, it makes me feel better w/ my investment.

Rep Power: 0 does the 3-step system come all together or do you buy the products seperately? where's the best place to get it? i've been using the meguire's cleaner/wax and its been alright but i want my baby to shine and be really protected cause she has to sit outside all the time (i live in an apartment). is this the thing to use?

Rep Power: 0 ya my car sits outside all the time, so this is the right thing to do. As far as where to get the stuff any place that sells car supplies, for cheeper prices try walmart. I don't believe it comes in an actual package, it might but I just buy it seperately. Now all you need is polish and wax, since you have the cleaner wax. Just make sure that you don't get an abrasive polish. You won't need to poilsh your car very often. I do it about 4 times a year, wax about once every month. I really like the Meguire's Gold wax. It comes in a small triagular shaped box about $10 per bottle. This stuff is the best. Once you've gone through all 3 steps. The next times you wax your car, you should only need to use the gold wax, not the cleaner since you will already have a good layer of wax. (It really depends on the weather) Hope this helps.

Rep Power: 0 I forked over a good $70 today. I didn't buy the first step though, no money, so I just did Wash with meguire, step 2, step 3, is that ok?
I did notice that after I was done, I saw some swirl type of light scracthes
I don't know what it could be, I washed my car with a sponge, I applied it with a Terry type Cloth (possible to scratch if pressure applied is too hard?), and than I wiped it off with a Microfiber type of cloth from Meguires. Car looks wicked! So repetitive though ) =. Apply coat, wipe off, etc. etc. My back hurts and my arms hurt like hell, but it's worth it!
