you might wanna take it to a detailer and see what they can do for it ... it's usually the better-looking, and more cost effective alternative... From your description I can't tell how bad the key mark is but... anyways... getting a quote from a detailer should be free... at least i would hope so... then make ur decision on what to do from there.

I agree. If you just do touch up paint, then you'll have 8 inches covered up in a slightly lighter colored paint.

if the key mark was smaller yes touch it up, but I agree with the others...best if you have it checked out!

IMO, touch up paint doesn't make it look like anything happened to the paint... it just to cover the exposed metal so as to prevent corrosion on the exposed metal...i haven't heard of anyone using touch up and the result is as if nothing happend. if you have used it with success tell me the best was to use it so that my ride would look perfect again!

I would take to a professional detailer or auto painter. I think touch-up paint looks like
I have never seen it done well. Another alternative you may try is, see if there is a scratch doctor in your town. I can not explain how he dose it, but he did my buddies suburban for $55. That is every scratch big or small and it looked pretty good.

Try Meguiar's Scratch-X.. It does wonders. It removed two pretty deep gouges from my girlfriend's car!
