My carpet is filthy..what to do?

Of course my dealer is too cheap to give me floormats, so I went to buy them at Wal-Mart. They don't cover all of the carpet, so after this dirty winter, I've got brown, filthy spots on the side of the floor. Should I shampoo it or what? If so, how the hell do I shampoo a carpet?

And after I get it clean I'll be sure to buy some floormats from my dealership (no matter how overpriced), so hopefully this doesnt happen again. Or will it..?

just buy some carpet cleaner and scrub em up! follow the direction it says on the carpet cleaner... like spray it on and scrub it, let it soak then kinda rinse it off with a sponge and let it dry.

Dont rise it off....Buy some carpet shampoo....you can try Blue Coral, or tuff stuff...or even simple green. Read the directions on the bottle....spray the matts.....take soap and water and scrup them with a carpet brush....Vaccum....and let em dry.
