Use a clay bar...ask your local detailing center what it is...that will remove water spots...

If you wax over it the minerals and such within the "water spot" will eat away at your paint....

you can also use a cleaner wax, like nu finish or something, that will get rid of em. Or you could try the fast wax stuff they sell at auto stores, it's in a spray can, that might work.

More than likely nothing will get rid of them besides a good buffing by a professional. I had the same problem and nothing even remotely worked. The best thing to do is just to rinse the car real well and get the water off it as soon as possible.

No, NuFinish is complete poo-poo...

If you REALLY want to get rid of waterspots/swirl marks/scratches, get the following items:

A) a random orbital buffer. any size will do so long as it doesn't move just back and forth or side to side.
B) 3M Perfect-It II Polishing Compound. You can find it at any Pep-Boys or other automotive store.
C) 3M Swirl Mark Remover. Get 'dark' if you have a dark car, 'light' if you have the opposite.
D) a foam pad, a sheeps wool pad, and a terry cloth pad for your buffer.
E) a garage or other covered area to work in. Dont work in direct sunlight.

Doesn't take much of the polish or swirl mark remover, and you need to follow the directions.

but the results speak for themselves.
