MY Detailing plan
I am planning on buying a pc polisher, and some other products as well.
Here is my plan:
1. Wash using liquid dish soap ( I know it is recomended never to do this because it "dries" the paint out, but i am not spending money on a product just to take wax off nor do i think it would really hurt to do every couple of months)
2. Clay car
3. Use meguiars medallion premium paint cleaner
4. Polish using meguiars #9 polish
5. Meguiars glaze #7
6. Sealant-Now i am not sure what to use because i have read that you need to seal the paint before waxing after glazing or polishing, but the term sealant seems to mean synthetic wax to some people-some help from some one experianced would be nice-thanks
7. Meguiars professional #26 yellow wax
My paint is black by the way, and has some swirl marks, also a friend of mine was telling me that the orbital/dual stage will not get them out, and they are made mostly to buff off wax. He also told me that there are different polishes for different colors, so should i use #9?
I know that an orbital is the only way to get signifigant paint defects out, but i have always kept a good layer of wax on my car, so i thought that a pc would be fine, and i really dont have the experiance to use one anyway.
I know this all may seem extreme, but when i do something i try to do it as professional as possible, so i am trying to get a good plan of action together.
Thanks for any info on the subject.

i actually prefer sealants over waxes (easier to apply/remove and last longer). for UPP and EX-P (and other true sealants), you're supposed to let it sit on the car for about 30-60 minutes, then wipe off. a second coat won't hurt to do, again just let it sit.
you may top it off with any waxes (for more *pop*), but rule of thumb, give it 24 hours before applying whatever else on top of it (need it to cure)
i don't use meg's products, but your process seems decent. just remember, to get rid of swirls, go from a more abrasive product and step down to a lesser abrasive. the last polish (or glaze or whatever you call it) before you put on your LSP should be non-abrasive

Yeah i confused what people mean by sealants, cause some people consider tech wax a sealant because it is a synthetic. Now when i read about pro detailing they mentioned using a special sealant after glazing, but now i am thinking they just meant a synthetic "wax".

Would a layer of tech wax be a sufficient sealant after glazing or should i use something else, and then apply typical wax or LSP?
Oh yeah, what does LSP stand for?

LSP = last step product, aka wax or sealant. it's okay to put a wax on top of a sealant (for more shine and pop), but it's fine without one.
