Fixing scratches on door panels

I bought some new door panels for my car and it got scratched up during shipping. Is there anyway to fix this without having to paint the entire panels?

It depends on the severity of the scratches. Can you feel them with your fingernail? Does your nail catch on the edge? If your nail catches then you are SOL because it has gone all the way through the paint and clearcoat. If they are relatively smooth then you have option. First start with a product like Meguiars ScratchX. Use it by hand on a foam pad. Work for 2-3 minutes one small section at a time then wipe of and repeat as necessary. If that doesnt work you will need to take a more aggressive approach which we can talk about later.

yeah I bought that scratch x today and tried it out. Seems like it helped alot. The scratches are pretty much a surface scratch. I'll put a few more coats on it and see how it goes.

If you use that and get it to a point you are happy with, then after you polish and wax you probably wont be able to see them. There have been times i have applied the ScratchX 4 or 5 times before i was happy. Make sure you rewax the areas you are doing for protection. The scratchX will remove the wax since its abrasive. If the scratchX isnt providing the results you desire, then your only other option is machine buffing, which isnt hard if you have the stuff.

no. Being that its abrasive, it removes the very top of the clear coat, which is how scratches are removed. On the interior, unless you have painted peices, there is nothing to remove. It would only cause marring and scratches on plastic.
