Carbon Fiber Hood Care?

I am putting a fiber images hood on the car. I have never had a CF piece before and would like to know if there is any special care I need to take when washing? Also do I wax it just like normal painted surfaces? Does the clear on CF tend to show surface scratches easier than SSM paint? I just want to make sure that I dont do any harm to the finish on the hood. Also are all fiber images hoods clearcoated or do I need to get it done?

I did a search and looked at the DIY sticky up top but could not find anything on this subject. Thanks

Yep, they usually have a clear coat just like your car does so care is the same.

Can I claybar it? It looks to have some hard water spots and some slight clearcoat damage. Thanks

I put the clay bar to it twice, used some 3M swirl mark remover and then three coats of NXT. It is looking awesome! Now I just have to MAKE SURE that I get these hood pin holes drilled perfectly..............
