i was just at kragens this morning picking up some fuses n **** n car wax. theyve got this one wax (i think turtle wax) thats colored. on the desc. it said that it helps enhance a car's color after u put on the wax to make the saturation of the hue stronger. or some ****. lol

go check it out n see if it works

(btw, there was blue green red n black "color enhancing waxes")

imo, i think its a joke tho. cuz its just colored wax, n after u put it on and that small coat thats left over after u buff, has a tint of whatever color ur car is. therefore "enhancing" the color.

I noticed that too. NHBP has a blue sparkly looking things in the paint. I think it looks cool. I say keep it like that and if you're car get banged up enough, just paint it later. Factory paint jobs rule

That Turtle Wax color matched stuff won't help and it will last for about a week. If you polish the paint really good you can make it look really nice. Here is the paint on my old Civic.

Yeah, I think for now I will just keep my Factory Paint job. The Blue Sparklies are pretty tight, it is just that my black Motegi FF7 rims are blacker than my car is. LoL.

Vantage should not be trusted
about the black turtle wax, i used it on my old CRX, made the car have a real nice deep black shine to it, very sexy. it also came with something that resembled a lipstick tube with a black crayon type inside that u can put in any scratches and it helps fill them. the lipstick didnt work that well, but the wax was better than any other wax ive tried.

Use Autoglym Super Resin Polish and then Autoglym Extra Gloss Protection. I have a 2004 Nighthawk Black Pearl Sedan.

Check out my gallery.

Good luck!

Yeah and also with NHBP is the swirl marks i got when i decided to use an orbital buffer (I so wish i could take back that day). What should i do to reduce these since our color shows it so much compared to others

I say use SSR 2.5 with a cutting pad then go over that with SSR 1 to get rid of those swirls. O and if u wanna freshing up ur paint , try Meguiars ColorX.

Thats going to be my detail process from now on.

Use of a circular buffer can be very tricky! I still don't use mine to well. It's faster, but prone to introducing swirls. I usually use my Porter Cable 7424, Dual Action, after using my circular polisher to eliminate any swirls. You can reference autopia.org or roadfly.org for more info.

How do you like your DA? I'm thinking about buying one, but really want to get rid of swirls. Will the DA do that for me, or will i have to get a more aggressive circular polisher?

Check out this FAQ for some info:
http://forums.roadfly.org/forums/det...3579628-1.html

autopia.org has a machine polishing forum that has good info too.

You won't need a circular. I have one, but I suck with it, so lately I've been sticking with my DA. I've used it to get out swirls and spiderwebbing. You'll just need the right pad and polish combination. That may take some experimenting. I used a yellow Lake Country cutting pad with Einzett (1Z) Paint Polish (Green can ) for my initial paint defects. Usually the White LC polishing pad with 1Z Metallic (Red can) polish is good enough for the light spiderwebbing that just seems to reappear every year!!
I hate swirls/spiderwebs. I had to change my carwashing technique to minimize them. I now use the two bucket wash method and dry with a Waffle Weave MF towel.

yeah... the "sparkly thingys" you refer to are called flakes. NHB has a blue flake which makes it look blue, depending on the angle of the light that is hitting the paint. I think NHB is the most beautiful color honda makes, you just have to know how to handle it. its a lot better then having monocromatic green or some crap like that..
