Civic em2 with d16w7 engine(from D17a8)

Hi everyone , i'm new member in this forum from Bulgaria.
I have Civic EM2 with D17a8 engine ( 120hp non vtec)...but this engine he broke camp and changed to another ( D16w7 with Vtec).
I have not changed my installation and comp, because here in Bulgaria told me that European installations in hatch, have missing some part or even put it on the car, it will not let me work VTEC..So now drive with the old settings from d17 engine.
And now is time to ask you friends
I want to put head from old engine to the new engine..
Will they fit? and whether there will be improvements in the pace of the car. Because at the time when it passes 4500 rpm, the car stops running.
I understand that there will be much difference, but I try to achieve the previous performance of the car, because I'm slower than D14 ...
If anyone has any idea how I can improve the dynamics of the car will be very grateful.

I apologize in advance for the bad english .. I use Google translete..

Greetings from Bulgaria

Very hard to say as not a lot of people even know the D16W7 even exists. However, the cylinder head does look exactly the same. Can you get a picture of the valve side of the cylinder head? Or even better, the head gasket.

Photo of the head of D17 or d16?
Both engines they seem identical. Head of D17 is down and I can measure it if necessary .. At the moment I can not do pictures because I'm at work, but tomorrow I will be able to send. I just want the car to be uncorked at high rpm because the treads in one place. Prior to 4500 rpm runs decently and there are no problems.

The engines look the same but could actually be drastically different. The only way to know if it will work is either to find someone that has done it or try it yourself.
