Replacing heater valve
Replacing heater valve
I am new to DIY on Honda Civics. I have a 2004 civic LX and I believe my heater valve no longer works And is stuck closed I don't have the money to put in a shop so could someone please post a video on how to replace the heater valve or briefly explain the steps that go into replacement. I have a Haynes manual but it doesn't tell me anything on how to replace it any info would be much appreciated it's my commuter and I don't have heat doesn't appear to be a head gasket it's not overheating there's no overflow of coolant in the reservoir tank There does appear to be a leak where the bottom radiator hose connects to the thermostat housing but the heater was working before While having this small leak so I'm wondering if it was the heater valve Which had issues with sticking in the past I had to rotate the dial to get your open and close now I can't manually open the valve Can't get any change in temperature inside the cabin Any info would be much appreciated thank you
Re: Replacing heater valve
Fix the leak and burp the system before replacing the valve. Like I mentioned in your other thread, air can get trapped in the system when the coolant level gets low.
