No heat please help

Hello, my 2004 Honda Civic lx Has no heat at the moment . At first, I thought was the air mix actuator Not completely opening the heater valve so I the cable that goes to the Heater valve arm and when I rotate it to Completely open The Heat does not change it does not get ho. before if I rotated the dial For the air mix back and forth it would eventually open the flap door But now when I manually open up the valve I don't hear the Flap door like it did when I Rotated the dial Both radiator hoses Get hot after the car warms up So I'm confused on why it's not Making it through the heater Core. the blower motor works all three speeds Seem to be functioning . it just keeps blowing cold air. What's your fingers I don't think the actuator for the air mix Is working either it's not hooked up But it's not doing anything when I turn the dial Am I missing something is there a fuse that might be blown I saw a Label for laugh heater Is that fuse involved with this? Sorry for the book it's just really stressful this time of year not have enough heat to work my defrost the mode control motor works just fine Just not It's not the air mix any help would be Much appreciated

Checked coolant level? Tried putting a garden hose to the heater core to check if its plugged?

Re: No heat please help

Thank you for your reply I've not tried the garden hose on the heater core I have the equipment to do to do it I just haven't found a place yet that allows me to have access to a hose. could it be possible that my heater valve is stuck closed? Treasure manually Operate my heater by unhooking the cable to it and manually opening the valve But it made no change in the temperature of the air that was coming out of my vents going to try to replace the heater valve because it looks really old and it was really grimy so I'm hoping that that's all it was then I will try to replace the thermostat but I don't think it's the thermostat because I've never overheated Just had a rise in the coolant temperature I have a Radiator hose that has a small leak in it The bottom radiator hose. Doesn't look like a big leak but if it's a small leak would that cause No heat at the heater core because both radiator hoses get hot so hot water is getting to the heater core It would appear or at least it's getting to where the valve is I need to check the hoses going into the heater core now don't I

Did you check coolant level like suggested? That's the first suggestion I would have made which is why I never replied. If coolant gets low air can get trapped in the coolant system, including the heater core. Air in the heater core means no heat. You can try burping the system. Lift the front end up high, remove the radiator cap (engine completely cool), start it, turn the heat on full, keep topping off the radiator.

Assuming the coolant is low, just hope it's from your small leak and not the head gasket failing.
