Cluster Swap (both Auto Trans, both sedans) from 01 civic ex to 04 civic l
Cluster Swap (both Auto Trans, both sedans) from 01 civic ex to 04 civic l
I am new to this forum and I apologize if my question is broad or out of the scope of this forum or has some relevant information. I want to try to swap a 01 civic ex cluster which has non non working gas gauge and I purchased a 04 civic lx cluster (both are auto transmission sedans). Is cluster swapping feasible via a in shifting on the header, where can I find more information on this?

I think you need to re pin a couple wires, be better to find an 01 cluster

Is there a specific reference to where I find a re-pinning map for my case, I only see MT to AT swaps not AT to AT swaps? MT being Manual, AT being Auto Transmission.

MT and AT should use the same pinout as far as I know. You can find the pinout for the '01 in the service manual but I don't have a pinout for the '04. What I did was take some of the cluster harness out of the donor car. Then re-pin the harness in your car to match the one from the donor, wire colors should be the same or close to it. I know I kept track of everything I did but I cannot find it now.
When I did mine I remember having extra wires, I ended up not using them and everything in my cluster works as far as I can tell.
