hey guys my dome light doesnt work when the door is open and the switch is in the middle position. when i turn it on the dome light works. when my doors are open i get the chime if i leave my keys in or have my lights on so the sensor seems to work but something is preventing the dome light to turn on when the door opens or i unlock my car with the remote, as it use to. any ideas what to check? ive checked the fuse and its fine

could it be a burnt relay?

It is taken care of by the micu/multiplex located in the under dash fuse box.

ya same thing with the passenger side. i didnt think that this would have made a problem but i ran a wire from my dome light through my side panal down to the driver and passenger kick space to put in leds to illuminate the foot space could it be too much power being pulled? it worked with all lights for a few weeks then im not too sure what happened it all just died. and i replaced my fuse and now just the on position on my switch works.

So you had an open fuse ?? What # in which box ?? Did the fuse open again ?? The correct size fuse, I hope.

I like to keep the dome leads together as a pair. (+12 volts & ground via multiplex unit)

its a 7.5 fuse in the engine bay. i think its called small lights was blown.

where can i get a new micu/multiplex? about how much does it cost and how difficult is it to install? even after i changed the fuse the light only works in the on position doesnt come on with the door open.

The under dash box drops down after removing single bolt. Many, many electrical connectors used that have release clips holding them in place. Might want to take pictures, draw a diagram or similar before taking them loose.

And of course make the battery is disconnected.
