02 civic bypass anti theft ?????

My girl lost her keys to her 02 civic. I have an acura key that fits like a glove and will start the vehicle. I called the dealership amd got the key code from them. Is there a way to start the vehicle?????
it also has an after market gps wired in under the steering column. Dont know of that matters or not.

You have an Acura key that fits and turns the ignition? How could they possibly be the same cut? You can call a locksmith. Have them come and program the "new" key. Ask if that's something they can do before having them come out though.

There is a way to bypass the immobilizer using a special code from the dealership. I think it involves using the parking brake to input a code. It only works once so you'd have to drive straight to the dealership to get the key programmed.
