Struts difference on civic 2005 vs civic ex special edition

Hi partners,

Recently I have acquired a honda civic 2005 sedan 4 doors EX special editon and I need to buy the front struts, I have funded a set on ebay by the way very cheap and according my data those fits my honda but to double check I sent a private message to the seller ask him if that set could be appropiate for my honda but the said me this (This bare set will work as long you you do not have the special edition)

so my question is what the difference between civic 2005 sedan 4 doors special edition vs sedan 4 doors EX?

They're probably junk if you're paying so little for them. Get KYBs from rockauto or another parts place

I don't know why they say it doesn't work with the EX SE. They use literally the same part numbers.

Thanks for reply buddy, I have check my dealer and made me a quotation for the struts and the part number that they indicate for this EX SE are the 51605-S5A-K08 rigth side and 51606-S5A-k08 left side
so now the new question is if there is a replacement part instead of the honda parts?

Like 2 of us have already said get KYBs, they're a good aftermarket strut. Or you can get tokios if you want to spend more money

Tokicos are NLA. Koni STR.T would be the closest to it.
