Pounding noise when turning and shifting?????

Hey guys recently I had like a ton of people in my car, not to mention my subs, and im sitting on a 1.5" drop and I went over this little driveway that dropped off immediatly and I bottomed out hard. So now as I said in the topic when I make right hand turns and hit the gas there is a knocking coming from under the car all along the passenger side all the way to the rear seats and its loud as fukc and you can feel it shake the car.

Also when im going like 80 on the freeway its hella loud and constant until I pass about 85 then its fine its only at 80 miles per hour. Also it does this during accleration at normal speed. I took it to honda and they said it was my "modified exhaust" so I took it to my muffler shop and they re welded the mounts and it still does it...ANYONE PLEASE HELP SOMETHING IS REALLY WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

you sure it isn't your exhaust banging around down there at all? i bottomed out real hard on something (didn't see it), and had to have my piping cut and re-bent because it was banging around when i turned right or when i took off from an idle, or even when accelerating in general.

I took it to the exhaust place and they said that it had been broken off the brackets but they welded it all back and put it back to the distance it was supposed to be from the car and its sturdy now... thanks for the ideas though. Also I dont have my stock exhuast anymore so putting it on is out of the question.

Hearing you saying that your car shakes on freeway going 80 or 85 mph, I think it might be your driveshaft, or it could be the bearing that connects the driveshaft and your wheels or worst, it could be both. Hope it helps.

is it a metalic sound or a hard pounding? I think that it may be your exhaust hiting the frame by the cat. You may need to get someone to rebend that piece. Another thought is that when you bottomed out you hit your tranny or oil pan and broke an engine mount. I really think that it is your exhaust though. Look were your exhaust bends from right to left to meet up with the cat. There is a frame piece to the right of the exhaust and towards the front of the car that is were it would be hitting.

Its a hard pounding...it doesnt even sound like metal is hitting and I have checked over my exhaust about 100 times and cant find whats up with it. 2 people have told me to check out my driveshaft I just havent had time to check it out...gonna do it today maybe.

I was thinking that was a noise similar to what I have, but it is a little diff. I have a cracking noise when I turn the wheel (not the upper mounts, struts, or springs), it happens at all speeds when I turn the wheel, comes from the middle of my car, Should not be my exhaust. It also happens when I go over the driveway humps, or large bumps. Like when my car is at certain angles it makes the noise. I am not too smart with cars, but I just know it is not anything to do with the struts, CVs, or exhaust. Thanks for any info. i didnt want to start a new topic, since my prob is pretty similar to describe. Thanks!

if it's a grinding type noise when turning, it's your axle. Look under the car at the boots.
it's not a "woopwoopwoop" sound, so the bearings are ok.
