Caliper Guide Pin Issue

2004 Honda Civic LX
Cleaned out caliper guide pins and lubricated with new silicon grease but, one of the guide pins won't seat back down because the air can't escape I assume. So one of the guide pins is sticking out further than the other. The guide pin in question has a rubber piece at the end of it. The guide pin that is seated to its normal length does not have this rubber piece. When I first removed the pins they were both even with each other. Will this be an issue if installed as is?

Remove both pins and measure them..are they the same length regardless of one having a hard rubber tip and the other does not? If so, they should seat properly

If you are still having problems just remove the rubber piece from the slider. I removed those on both sides of my car and never had a seize slider again.
