Brake clicking
Brake clicking
I noticed the rear drivers brake is making a clicking sound, only when the brakes are applied, generally at low speed. The slower the speed, the less frequent the clicks.
Where would you recommend i start based on your experience?
This matches the scenario - sound present at 0:24

Re: Brake clicking
Thanks,
It's going to be a little while before I can take a look so really hoping to narrow down the issue.
So far I'm seeing the following possibilities,
inspect brake shoe retainer spring
inspect caliper pistons
check for loose brake pad
check for too much caliper play
check if there's too much play in brake caliper bracket
check brake pad shims
caliper bolts loose
rock between tire and rim
check space between brake pads
re-grease pins and shims
check tie rod end links
possible spindle replacement.
possibly defective wheel bearing

If you think a good mechanic is expensive, try hiring a bad one
